Funeral in IndiaPart 3 The three teenagers, who are the closest relatives, perform various ceremonies with intricate and very distinct details. The clay bucket has to be carried three times clockwise around the dead body, before it is broken. From its cavity rice and coins are scattered on top of the white robe. After the fire was lit all but two of the men begun to walk towards the villge. The two men would stay and take care of the cremation. I never saw what was done to the bones. |
